Once Upon A Thai is a food truck serving fresh, authentic Thai food using Irish and Thai ingredients where possible. The Free Range pork and beef we use is from Jim Ryan’s farm in Ballinlough, Kells, Co. Meath.
We also work closely with a number of producers and food service companies that, over the years of working in the hospitality industry, I have established a great relationship with and they understand what I expect when I order produce from them. We are based in Trim, Co.Meath
Our Story
I have been working as a chef in professional kitchens in Ireland, England and Australia for the past 18 years. I first visited Thailand in 2003 and instantly fell in love with Thai food, people and their culture.
I then visited Thailand every year and in 2011 I met my future wife Auan who had worked in some of the best 5 stars Hotels in Thailand and is an amazing cook and shares my passion for Thai food.
We both noticed that we could not find anywhere to eat in Ireland that delivered the authentic Thai street food flavour and after doing a lot of research we decided to start a food truck that gave our customers genuinely authentic Thai Street food.
